We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Crusher Ground Person to join our team. Responsibilities include assisting with crusher maintenance, setup/teardown, and general labour duties. Must be comfortable working outdoors, physically fit, and mechanically inclined. Experience with heavy equipment and a valid driver’s license are assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• will be required to assist the work crew with labouring duties/crusher maintenance at the work site and/or be able to relieve other positions, when trained;
• understand and use hand signals, radio communications and safety devices on equipment;
• ensure that all company and OSHA safety regulations are followed;
• ensure that all quality standards are met;
• setup and Tear down of crushing plant;
• assist with all maintenance and repairs on crushing equipment;
• ensure proper lockout safety procedures are followed;
• Communicate with supervisor;
• thorough knowledge of crushing, safety, quality and production practices;
• familiar with crushing equipment as well as crushing maintenance expectations and standards;
• work as part of a crew and take direction from supervisors;
• perform general housekeeping duties around indoor and outdoor work areas;
• other duties as may be assigned within the reasonable scope of work of the position;

Skills/Requirements:

• competent in regards to the operation of heavy equipment such as skid steer, Front End Loaders and Excavators;
• ability to work as part of a crew;
• reaching high and low, stooping, and bending continually;
• able to cope in outdoor work environments due to changes in environmental conditions;
• mechanically inclined;
• ability to lift 50lbs or more;
• able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy work environment;
• rational decision making ability;
• ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibility as needed;
• outdoors, rough terrain– must be able to walk on uneven ground and carry out tasks under unpredictable outdoor conditions;
• knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness and capability to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, respirator, etc.);
• willing to travel, must possess a valid driver’s license;
