Our Peer Mentors contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive and welcoming space that is free of judgement and stigma. Peer Mentors are trained to recognize when a youth may be struggling with mental health challenges, respond in a manner that supports that person's well being, and determine when professional help may be needed ahdn how to connect the person to that help.
- Greet, welcome and orient youth to the Hub
- Build rapport and establish open, honest, supportive and on-judgmental relationships with youth at the Hub
- Upon request, using the 3R approach (recognize, respond, refer), assist youth with articulating their challenge and personal development goals
- Robust training program (all training hours are paid)
- Part time (afternoons, evenings and weekends) at $19/hour
