Qualifications
Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks (able to lift 22.5 kg).
Required to work flexible hours (days, weekends, evening shifts and holidays).
Preference will be given to candidates having the ability to provide services in English and in French.
Key Responsibilities
Patient meal service and tray assembly- assist Food Services staff in preparing food, nourishments for patients and collecting patient trays for sanitary procedures.
Patient sanitation procedures – assist Food Services staff in washing, sanitizing patient trays, dishware, kitchen and Food Services Department.
Porters patients to various location in the hospital as needed.
Washes and disinfects walls of hospital following the routine set by the department.
Strip, re-wax, spray buffs floors as required.
Clean windows, carpets and upholstered furniture as required.
Collect soiled linen and all garbage throughout the hospital daily.
Cleans and disinfects all patient’s beds, over bed table, night table, bathrooms, shower rooms and tub rooms on a daily basis.
Launders and folds curtains, cleaning cloths,
bedding as needed.
