Qualifications
Registered with the CMLTO or equivalent and willing to transfer license.
Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Proficiency in both English and French is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and analyze laboratory tests to diagnose diseases and monitor patient health.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Collect and prepare specimens for testing following standard procedures.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all laboratory findings.
Collaborate with medical staff to provide timely and effective patient care.
Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
Keeps up-to-date descriptive records of all quality control results in accordance with TCLSP Program Quality Control protocol; reports all out-of-control situations to Charge Technologist.
Participates in Accreditation Canada assessment visits.
Accurately and precisely performs all required lab testing in a timely fashion as defined by the Timmins – Cluster Laboratory Partnership Quality Control Protocol and IQMH Guidelines.
