Hotel General Manager
Full-Time /40hours a week

O'Briens Group is on the lookout for a Hotel General Manager to oversee the
operations of two of our properties. If you're passionate about delivering

As the Hotel General Manager at O'Briens Group, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of two properties, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and driving business success. This leadership position requires strategic vision, operational expertise, and a commitment to delivering unparalleled service.
Task will include but not limited to the following:
- Direct all aspects of daily operations at both hotels, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance and guest services.
- Ensure smooth and efficient service delivery that exceeds guest expectations
- Lead, motivate, and mentor department managers and hotel staff across both properties
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Maintain strict compliance with Best Western and Travelodge brand standards, ensuring both properties achieve excellent quality assurance scores.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining a focus on guest loyalty.
- Promote a positive workplace culture rooted in professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance hotel operations.
- Identify tourism opportunities and develop partnerships with local organizations and event organizers to enhance guest experiences and drive revenue.
The ideal candidate will possess the following education, skills & abilities:
- Post-secondary education in tourism, business administration, finance or any combination of education and experience relevant to the position will be considered.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and engage a diverse team.
- Proven leadership, entrepreneurial and decision-making skills.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Familiarity with accounting principles
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
